ATLANTA FALCONS @ PHILADELPHIA EAGLES – 5:15PM

The Falcons are in Philadelphia to take on the Eagles tonight in the finale of week 2 in the NFL. After a rough NFL Sunday that saw 6 underdogs upset their opponents to win, there have now been 7 pre-game underdogs in week 2 that have won which has only happened 3 times in the last 9 NFL seasons. After the chaos that has ensued so far it is certainly possible that the Falcons crash the party and bring that total up to 8 underdog wins. When you take their abysmal showing in their home opener against the Steelers into account however, it’s pretty difficult to imagine them faring any better in this game than they did back in week 1. Even without A.J. Brown, the Eagles will have the edge in this matchup as they have plenty of depth on the offense, with DeVonta Smith poised to take on a larger role. He’s coming off a strong Week 1 performance and should find favorable matchups against the Falcons’ secondary. Additionally, Saquon Barkley’s ability to impact both the run and pass games gives Philadelphia a major offensive edge, especially running behind one of the NFL’s top offensive lines. On the defensive side, the Eagles’ stout front will likely limit Atlanta’s run game, forcing the Falcons to rely more heavily on an inconsistent passing attack from Kirk Cousins. With the Falcons are still trying to piece together their game plan from the influx of new talent over the offseason and considering the consistency and balance on both sides of the ball that Philadelphia has shown, taking Philadelphia to win this game is the safer bet to make.

The Pick: Philadelphia Eagles Moneyline

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS @ COLORADO ROCKIES – 5:40PM

The Diamondbacks travel to Colorado to take on the Rockies in the final 3 games of their regular season series. The Diamondbacks have largely dominated the Rockies so far this year having won 8 out of the 10 games played so far. The D-backs clearly have the edge, not only in form but also in starting pitching. Merrill Kelly, a seasoned veteran, has been reliable in high-pressure games, and his experience will be crucial today against a Rockies team whose starting pitcher, Antonio Senzatela, hasn’t pitched in over a year. Meanwhile, Arizona’s hitting over the last 30 days has been among the best in baseball, led by Eugenio Suárez, who leads MLB in home runs, slugging percentage, and OPS over that span. Now Geno gets to let loose in one of the most hitter friendly stadiums in the majors. With Arizona’s offense firing on all cylinders and their pitching advantage, the Diamondbacks are in prime position to win this game. You can look to take the Diamondbacks on the run line to increase your payout but to be conservative you can bet them on the Moneyline.
