ARIZONA STATE SUN DEVILS @ TEXAS STATE BOBCATS – 4:30PM

The Sun Devils take on the Texas State Bobcats tonight in a primetime clash of undefeated teams that will be nationally televised on ESPN. The Sun Devils bring some serious momentum and excitement into this game having surpassed expectations so far with wins against Wyoming and Mississippi State at home. Texas State meanwhile has also had a positive season up to this point with home wins against UTSA and Lamar. The most glaring aspect of this matchup that will be working against Texas State is the fact that Texas State has yet to face a Power 5 team this season, and the talent gap should be apparent as soon as the game gets started. Arizona State’s potent rushing attack, led by Cameron Skattebo, will be the deciding factor. Coming off a dominant 262 yard performance against an SEC school like Mississippi State, Skattebo is poised to exploit Texas State’s defense, which hasn’t been tested at this level. Arizona State’s ability to control the ground game will not only wear down Texas State but also limit possessions for their senior quarterback, Jordan McCloud. With fewer chances to score and ASU’s defense playing solid, the Sun Devils are primed to overwhelm the Bobcats. Conveniently at the time that I am writing this the Devils are priced on FanDuel as a very slight underdog with Texas State being favored by 1.5 points. Take the value on Arizona State moneyline before the line flips prior to kickoff.

BUFFALO BILLS @ MIAMI DOLPHINS – 5:15PM

The Bills travel to Miami to take on the Dolphins for a Thursday Night Football showdown on Amazon Prime. Historically this has been a pretty one sided matchup as the Buffalo Bills are 11-1 (regular season and playoffs) against the Dolphins going back to December of 2018. That lone win for the Dolphins came in a September 2022 home game where they won by a small margin, 21-19. On paper it’s easy to count the Dolphins out based on the overall wins and losses in this matchup in recent years. There’s an argument to be made though that the game today presents a much different context than what we’ve seen in the past and that should put the Dolphins in a strong position to turn the tide in the rivalry between these two teams. Buffalo is coming off an underwhelming home opener where they narrowly escaped a loss to Arizona, giving up 28 points to a struggling Cardinals offense. With the loss of talented players on offense and defense compared to years past his is the most pared down version of the Bills that Miami will get a chance to play in recent memory. Meanwhile, the Dolphins are riding the momentum from their Week 1 victory and have the emotional boost of rallying around Tyreek Hill after his recent altercation with the Miami police. With Miami’s high-powered offense led by Tua Tagovailoa and the chance to exploit Buffalo’s defensive lapses, this will be the game where the Dolphins finally flip the script. Look to take the Dolphins on the moneyline tonight.
